Bonjour! Hope you are all well. I’ve been away from my blog for 2 weeks and it feels like a lifetime. I really have no reason other than being lazy and feeling like I haven’t had the time to sit down and blog. But I am back and it is the end of April so we all know what that means? It’s time to round up April in the form of a blog post. So lets go. Hey lets go, hey lets go, I’m happy as can be, lets go walking you and meeee (if you know what I am on about then you are brilliant and have a place in my heart forever, if not then watch this).

I am gonna shake up the format up again for this post. I’m still trying to figure out the layout I like best for my monthly round ups so thought I’d try something different again.

This month the long awaited second album from The Last Shadow Puppets was released and it did not disappoint. I think I have listened to this every day since it was released and my love for Alex Turner has reached new levels (I didn’t think this was possible, 16 year old me was convinced we would get married, have babies and live happily every after. Oh youth). My personal favourites on the album are The Dream Synopsis, Sweet Dreams, TN and Used To Be My Girl. The Dream Synopsis is beautiful and had my heart from the first word. The whole album is amazing and worth a listen from beginning to end (and then put The Dream Synopsis on repeat for a good 4 hours straight).

Next up, dungarees. Dungarees are the love of my life. I love how effortless and cool they look. I have had a black pair for around a year and finally felt confident enough to get a pale blue denim pair. Mine are from New Look and cost £29.99. If you want to wear dungarees but feel a bit self conscious then fear not, I have the solution. Get black dungarees to start with and build up your confidence. This is what I did because I felt like they weren’t as bold and eye catching. I like to pair this pale blue denim pair with a white blouse and my battered old black converse for an Alexa Chung inspired look. Lets face it I will never look like Miss Chung in dungarees, 1. I’m about 11 inches shorter and 2. I 100% do not have legs like hers.

In my last blog post I mentioned that I was loving the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm so it is only right to mention it again in my monthly favourites. If you want to know why I love this product then head on over to my last blog post. I also have the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft-Spoken and I have been loving it. I know I said NYX Stockholm looks like MAC Velvet Teddy but so does this one, but it looks like when you apply a lot of Velvet Teddy and you get that darker shade. The Liquid Suede ones don’t smell that nice but apply just as lovely as the Soft Matte Lip Creams and once again they aren’t drying. Thanks NYX, you are doing lip products right.

My final favourite for this month I do not have a photo of because it’s an activity. Towards the end of last year I started going to a boxercise class with my cousin and this month we have been really good, meaning we have gone every week this month. I love it! You feel so good after because one it’s really good exercise and two you can take out any stress and anger. I think I have finally found the exercise that is right for me because I genuinely enjoy going.

This month I don’t feel like I have done much. I went for a day out to Tatton Park with my parents. Tatton Park is a beautiful National Trust property up North in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Me and the best pal also went on a very odd night out with a backpack full of bras each. Basically we went out at 11am with the intention of going bra shopping, for lunch and for a couple of nice cocktails. This quickly escalated into getting rather drunk and getting home at 3am. One of the places we went to was Albert’s Schloss which has a fab Photo Booth downstairs and a room full of props and the best part, the Photo Booth is free!!!!

So that’s been April.
